Refund policy
Most of our products are catalogue designs printed when you order. Under UK and EU public guidance, printing a standard design to order does not by itself remove the usual 14-day right to cancel. See the sections below.
Your 14-day right to cancel (UK / EU distance sales)
If you buy online as a consumer in the UK or the EU, you normally have 14 days from the day after you (or someone you nominate) receive the goods to cancel for any reason. For orders with several parcels, the period usually starts when the last item arrives.
How to cancel: email support@judoshop.com with your order number and a clear statement that you want to cancel (you can use any clear wording). You then have another 14 days to send the goods back.
What we refund: the price of the goods and the standard delivery charge you paid. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, we only have to refund the cost of the cheapest standard delivery we offered. We refund to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or proof you sent them back (whichever is earlier). We do not charge a restocking fee for a statutory cancellation.
Return cost: you normally pay the direct cost of posting the item back, unless we agree otherwise or we failed to tell you before purchase that you must pay those costs.
Condition of goods: you may examine the goods as you would in a shop. If you handle them beyond that and reduce their value, we may deduct that amount from your refund.
Our standard catalogue designs (the same design available to any customer, in a size/colour you choose) are treated in this policy as not clearly personalised, so the 14-day right does apply.
Please check the size chart before you order: https://www.judoshop.com/pages/size-chart
If we offer personalised items in future
Public UK and EU guidance says there is no cooling-off right for goods that are made to your specifications or clearly personalised — for example a gift engraved or printed with your own name or a unique personal message. We do not currently sell custom-text personalised products. If we offer that later, we will say so before you buy, and for those items only the 14-day cooling-off right would not apply. Your rights for faulty or misdescribed goods always still apply.
Faulty, misprinted or damaged items
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (and equivalent EU/national rules) cannot be excluded. Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.
If your item arrives misprinted, damaged or faulty, email support@judoshop.com as soon as you can (and no later than 30 days after you receive it for our production-partner claim process). Include your order number and a clear photo of the problem. Once we've checked it, you choose a free replacement or a refund, at no cost to you for a verified production fault.
Please don't post anything back until we reply. Faulty items often don't need to be returned; if we ask you to send one back, we cover the cost.
Within the first 30 days after delivery, UK consumers also have a short-term right to reject faulty goods for a full refund (Consumer Rights Act 2015). After that, repair or replacement usually comes first; if that fails, you can seek a further refund or price reduction.
Lost parcels
See our Shipping Policy. Please tell us within 30 days of the estimated delivery date.
Returning goods after you cancel
Please email support@judoshop.com first. Do not post anything back until we reply. We will give you the returns address for your order and any packing instructions.
Trader contact address (for contacting us — not a returns drop-off): JudoShop.com, Chynoweth House, Apt 2788, Truro TR4 8UN, United Kingdom.
Items that can't be returned under this policy (except where the law still requires a refund)
- Gift cards
- Goods returned after the cancellation window without a fault or other legal right
- If we later offer clearly personalised goods: those items only, for change-of-mind cooling-off (faulty-goods rights still apply)
Sale items keep the same statutory rights as other goods.
