Terms of service

Last updated: 28 October 2026.

1. Who we are

These Terms apply to https://www.judoshop.com (the "Site"). JudoShop.com is the trading name of Petr Chlada, a sole trader ("we", "us", "our").

The Site is hosted on the Shopify ecommerce platform.

2. About these Terms

By browsing the Site or placing an order you agree to these Terms and to our related policies:

  • Privacy Policy — https://www.judoshop.com/policies/privacy-policy
  • Shipping Policy — https://www.judoshop.com/policies/shipping-policy
  • Refund Policy — https://www.judoshop.com/policies/refund-policy

If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or order from us.

We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page. The "Last updated" date will change. For existing orders, the Terms in force when you ordered still apply to that order, except where the law requires otherwise.

3. Who can buy

You must be able to form a legally binding contract. If you buy as a consumer, you must be at least 16.

Business customers may order too; some consumer-only rights below will not apply to you if you buy wholly or mainly for business.

4. Our products

We sell judo-related apparel, gifts and accessories (for example T-shirts and mugs). Items are printed to order through our production and fulfilment partners. Nothing is held as finished stock in our own warehouse.

Product images and descriptions are for illustration. Colours can vary slightly between screens and the finished print. Please check our size guide before ordering: https://www.judoshop.com/pages/size-chart

5. Prices and currency

Prices are shown on each product page and confirmed at checkout. Our store currency is US dollars (USD). Depending on your location, checkout may also show another currency (for example GBP or EUR). The amount you pay is the one confirmed at checkout, including delivery and any taxes shown there.

We try to keep prices accurate. If we discover an obvious pricing error before we accept your order, we will contact you; you may cancel or reconfirm at the correct price. We are not obliged to fulfil an order at a clearly mistaken price.

6. Orders and how the contract is formed

Submitting an order is an offer to buy. We accept your offer (and a contract is formed) when we send you an order confirmation email, or when we begin fulfilling the order if earlier.

We may refuse or cancel an order (and refund you) if, for example: payment fails; the item cannot be produced; we suspect fraud; or we cannot deliver to your address. If that happens after you paid, we refund you.

Once production has started we may not be able to change the order for operational reasons. That does not remove any legal right you have to cancel under UK or EU consumer law — see our Refund Policy: https://www.judoshop.com/policies/refund-policy

7. Payment

Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify and the payment methods shown there (which may include card payments via Shopify Payments / Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, or others displayed for your region).

8. Delivery

Delivery times, costs, tracking, customs charges, and lost-parcel rules are set out in our Shipping Policy: https://www.judoshop.com/policies/shipping-policy

Unless we agree another date with you, UK law requires delivery without undue delay and in any event within 30 days of the contract (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013).

Risk of loss or damage usually passes to you when the goods are delivered to the address you gave (or to someone you nominate).

9. Cancellation, returns and refunds

Your rights to cancel (including the usual 14-day cooling-off right for UK/EU consumers on standard catalogue designs), return goods, and claim for faulty or misprinted items are set out in our Refund Policy: https://www.judoshop.com/policies/refund-policy

Nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or equivalent EU/national consumer laws where they apply.

10. Faulty or misdescribed goods

Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality, and fit for their normal purpose. If they are not, UK consumers have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (including a short-term right to reject within 30 days in many cases, then repair/replacement, then further remedies). Contact support@judoshop.com — see the Refund Policy for how we handle claims.

11. Your use of the Site

You may use the Site for lawful browsing and purchasing only. You must not:

  • misuse the Site (for example attempt to hack, scrape in a way that harms the service, or introduce malware);
  • copy or reuse our product designs, photos, or text for commercial purposes without permission;
  • use the Site in any way that breaks applicable law.

We may suspend access if we reasonably believe these rules are broken.

12. Intellectual property

Site content (including logos, product designs, text and images) is owned by us or our licensors. You get a limited licence to view and use the Site to place orders. Buying a product does not transfer ownership of the underlying design copyright to you, except for your personal use of the physical item you bought.

13. Third-party links and tools

The Site may link to third-party sites or use third-party tools (for example reviews or social links). We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Our Privacy Policy explains the processors we use for the store itself.

14. Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where the law does not allow it — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of the consumer rights that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Subject to that:

  • we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was made;
  • we are not liable for business losses (loss of profit, business, or opportunity) if you use the Site or products for business purposes;
  • for consumers, our liability for foreseeable loss arising from our failure to comply with these Terms is limited to the total amount you paid for the relevant order, except where a higher amount is required by law.

15. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (for example courier disruption, natural disasters, widespread outages, or industrial action). We will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect and keep you informed. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living in the UK, you also keep any mandatory protections of the part of the UK where you live. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also benefit from mandatory protections of your country of residence. You may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or (if you are a consumer) in the courts of your place of residence where the law allows.

We encourage you to contact support@judoshop.com first so we can try to resolve a problem quickly.
